– Location of wedding (or where you will be getting ready)

– Size of bridal party requiring makeup / hair services for trials and on the day

Please state and leave a contact number if you would prefer a member of our team to give you a call to discuss you specific requirements. We will then send you over the portfolios of the makeup artists / hair stylists available for your wedding date and advise you on the number of team members you will require

Your Trial

Once you have selected your preferred artist / stylist, we will then arrange a makeup and hair bridal trial.

We recommend having your trial 12 weeks prior to your wedding date, once key aspects of your wedding such as your dress are finalised. Trials are usually held in either of our salons located in Kent (Brasted – Sevenoaks / Southborough – Tunbridge Wells)

We can travel to you for trials at an additional cost

Weekend trials are limited and subject to availability

If you would like to bring members of your bridal party, we would recommend booking this during off-peak salon times so we can accommodate

We can also host private bridal trial parties if 4+ members of the bridal party are having trials. We can also include grazing platters and prosecco at your request

We would recommend before your trial to have a look on sites such as ‘Pinterest’ to find inspiration for looks/styles you would like to try. Or our bridal specific Instagram page - @themakeupandhairagency

Please always remember however when considering specific makeup looks and hair styles, they may require additional services such as hair extensions or false lashes to achieve the look you desire.

In the trial you will have a full in-depth consultation with your artist/stylist which will cover aspects such as your usual makeup/hair routine, desired looks, colours and tones that you may want to try.

A final look/products will be agreed between you both and this will be noted.

Arrival times and any preparations you may need to make beforehand (such as when to wash your hair) will be discussed, agreed and finalised. Each wedding we do is unique and tailored you so we try and avoid giving you any insight to timings before your trial, as until we know all looks/styles required of yourself and the bridal party it can be very hard to determine such specific details – however rest assured we will always make a plan so that your wedding morning is relaxed and runs smoothly, giving you time for all other elements such as pictures, putting on your dress etc

We always recommend to have the makeup and hair trial together, as without one of the other it can be hard to ‘imagine’ the full look completed look. To get the most out of your trial, we recommend coming with a look/style in mind.

We can try up to x2 styles/adaptations during your appointment and will ensure you are happy before you leave.

In the event you would like another trial, this will be charged at the same price as your initial trial.

On the day...

On the day of the wedding, the artist/stylist/team will arrive at the agreed time and location of where you and your bridal party will be getting ready.

A schedule of the day and preparations we/you need to make beforehand will be agreed at the trial. Any changes to this schedule we will need to know immediately, and we cannot guarantee that we can always accommodate as the team often fit other bookings around your wedding day.
